Tryouts are held prior to each season at Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center. Minimum requirements include rallying 6 in a row, serving 6 out of 10 balls in on each side, ability to keep score and play matches. Players will be placed on teams based on their level and age as of the cut-off date. For specific dates and information, call Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center. Play tennis by yourself Gilad Bloom, former Israeli Davis Cup player and two-time Olympian, played on the ATP Tour 1983-1995, reached the fourth round of the U.S. Open in 1990, reached a highest ranking of 61 in singles, was Israel Singles Champion three times. The mission of the tennis program is to provide tennis opportunities for all ages and ability levels. Lessons, leagues, ladders, and quadrants are some of the programs offered year-round. There are 20 tennis locations and 104 tennis courts available around the city. At the U.S. Open and the Australian Open, players play a tiebreak if they are tied at 6 games to 6. At Wimbledon, players will play a tiebreak if they are tied at 12 games to 12. Finally, at the French Open (Roland Garros), there is no tiebreak in the fifth set and the first player to reach a 2-game margin (6×4, 7×5, 8×6) wins the match.
